Restorative Practices

My name is Briana Seely-Clark and I am your Restorative Response Specialist (RRS). I have been working with youth for over fifteen years and have been a Restorative Specialist for five years. I am so excited to be here at SRMS, I truly love our school community.

We know that the strongest most profound learning takes place when students, parents, staff, teachers, and administration work together as a community. Restorative Practices assists to build, maintain and restore relationships within that community, by giving all parties a voice and repairing harm. The goals of the RRS team is to

  • Increase the safety of the school
  • Maintain an equitable school and classroom learning environment
  • Increase attendance
  • Support positive youth development and social emotional learning.

I am here on Campus to support all teachers, staff, and students. Most often an RRS is called into a situation where there is a conflict that needs help to be resolved. I am available to facilitate restorative circles, conferences (both formal and informal), and I can also offer classroom circles to help build trust and community within the classroom or to address specific issues that have come up in class, these would be scheduled through an Assistant Principal.

I am on campus from 7:30am -4:00pm Monday-Friday.  I can be reached at Bseelyclark@srcs.k12.ca.us
